| 218: | Mule Packs. Two Turkish Mule Packs. 600mm wide x 450mm high x 300mm wide. Appear to have a cane frame and body with a brown canvas covering with a handle at each end and hinged canvas lid with a metal clasp. Rear of packs have stencilled Crescent Moon and Star. The top of the lid has a black painted panel with "Lieut Gen Sir J.Monash. Australian Army Corps." The has been overstamped "P. Norman Sydney Wellington." The ends are mkd "J M" with packs numbered 1 & 2 . Packs have numerous stains and small holes with some internal stitching at fault. FC. General Monash was Commander of the Australian Troops at Gallipoli where "Monash Gully" was named after him. Vendor states these packs were captured from the Turks and used by General Monash for his effects. These are historical items worthy of further research and TLC. |

| 220: | Misc. Erotica ! A Japanese couple carved out of simulated ivory. The man is bending over probably looking for some dropped ammo while the woman is lying down pointing at his weapon. Quite intriguing carved and decorated with flowers and designs and sitting on ivorine base 6" x 4" Some slight wear but overall in GC. |
