418: Practice bomb, approx 4" dia painted blue with text Naval Air Systems Command Bomb Practice Mk 106 Model 5 with square base and four fins. GC
419: Rocket. No 257 Federal practice pojectile. Alloy body with stainless steel spring loaded tail fins. GC
420: Aircraft practice bomb marked 8 1/2lbs Mk /4 painted a cream colour with rust staining. No damage to body. F-GC
421: Missile. A Sea Cat GWS 20/22 Surface to Air Missile. 1.5m long x 200mm in dia. White painted alloy construction with clear plastic "Eye" on the nose cone. Four fibre glass wings that move for guidance plus four small tall fins. Mkd with various numbers including NZ registrations dated Jan 73, Warhead of TNT etc. The Seacat was one of the first shipboard mounted defence missiles introduced in 1962 , it had a range of 5000m and was remotely controlled and were mounted on the Leander Class NZ Frigates. 424: Book - The Fighting First. Combat Operations in Vietnam 1968-69 The First Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment" by Lex McAulay 1991. H/C with D/J, 293 pages, slight yellowing to D/J otherwise VGC. In this book McAulay tells the story of the savage battles of Fire Support Base "Coral", fought in May 1968 as well as the constant patrols, patient ambushes and attacks on the Viet Cong bunker systems. The action-packed story of an Australian infantry battalion during operations in South Vietnam in 1968-69, being the 1st Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment on their second tour of duty in South Vietnam. Includes rolls of honour and awards citations. A good copy of a unit history during the Vietnam War.
