Wood has a repaired split in the grip. Fitted with a small copper reinforcing. Missing an inlay to front of forend. |

| 153: | Shotgun. 12g Double barrel hammer shotgun by James Squires 14 Newcastle Street London. Bores good, barrels possibly re-browned. Action strong and tight with matching hammers and rebounding locks. Action foliate and scroll engraved . Wood is in good condition with tear drops behind locks and checkered at grip and forewood. Top opening lever has unusual patented bent top lever, barrels have a nice Damascus pattern. A nice English shotgun in GC and comes with some information. Pic  |

| 178: | Medal. An excellent example of a German Third Reich era Imperial Iron Cross Second Class replacement award by Wilhelm Deumer of Ludenscheid marked '3'. This marking shows it was manufactured between 1st July 1937 and July 1940 as an LDO marking of 'L/11 was used post July 1940. Medal has highly polished frames by the manufacturer and a high degree of frosting. VGC. (Vendors description) |

Comes with 14 cards. 7 with views of the Bushman's contingent leaving for the War, 3 with views of the Boer War Soldiers, 2 showing the tables where the Treaty was signed at Versailles and the eminent gentlemen who were party to it, one of the restored Cathedral at Rhiems plus one other that is unidentified. | 187: | Silver Shooting Trophy dated 1874. 9” high by 6.5” wide. Has much intricate engraving of the bowl and ornate cast arms in the shape of dragons heads. Bowl is marked on front, “Competition shooting prize, gained by Corporal James Shanks, 1874”. Marked on back “Presented by Provost Waddell, Bathgate to The Fourth Linlithgowshire Volunteers”. The bowl appears to be silver and the arms and base are silvered brass, no hallmarks found, however there is indecipherable writing scratched onto the underside of the base. One minor dent on front of bowl and some silvering is worn off arms otherwise GC. An interesting item. |
