283: Revolver .230RF Tranter No.1 7 Shot Revolver. 2.5" hexagon barrel, bore badly pitted. Bronze frame with Tranter oval patent stamp. Barrel and cylinder with even brown patina, L/H side of frame has vice marks. Barrel has W.Richards Melbourne stamped on top. Later variation with straight arbour release lever. 293: Revolver, .32rf Tranter No. 2 Pocket 7 Shot Single Action Revolver. 3.5" hexagonal barrel. Bore worn. Metalwork has an even brown patina, with 'W.Tranter Patent' stamp. Has good chequered wooden grips. (Vendor’s comment: variation with cylinder arbor spring catch on left side, late production, reputedly scarce variant). 297: Revolver .450cal Tranter Model 1868 Double Action 6 Shot 5" barrel, good bore. 10 1/4" overall length solid frame with checkered wooden grips. 1868 patent floating firing pin and non recessed swivel rammer. Hammer recessed to take floating firing pin. Frame, barrel, trigger guard and butt cap scroll engraved. Some original blue with small scratches and brown areas. LH side of frame with W.Tranters Patent oval stamp and No. 13020. Plain cylinder with raised stops and roped front band. Birmingham proofs on cylinder and barrel including 450. Barrel marked "P. Gates 4 Market St Head Derby". Ejector pivot marked Tranters Patent. "No. 499" scratched on butt strap. Cylinder has been fitted with removable inserts to enable it to be fired with .380 blanks.
