Barrel 18 inches, bores good, action strong and tight, Buckhorn rear sight and folding aperture sight, metal work shows field use thinning in areas. Folding metal stock with wooden grips. 533: Rifle, .22 Magnum cal Anschutz Model 1515 Bolt Action. 21" barrel with good bore, metal with some minor speckling. Rifle fitted with Nikko 3-7 x 20 scope. Optics clear. Wood with numerous minor knocks and marks. Varnish showing flaking. Fitted with a leather sling. S/N 635737. F-GC
534: Rifle. Remington Model 14 1/2 Pump Action Sporting Rifle. Calibre .44Rem or .44W.C.F. (44-40). 22 1/2" round barrel with VG bore. Metal shows a grey-brown finish with much blue remaining on receiver but some very minor pitting. Correct sights. Action crisp and positive. Forewood VG, butt stock good but has 40 x15mm repair at wrist. Remington mkd steel butt plate also shows some pitting. Rifle feeds, loads and shoots smoothly and overall looks quite good. 537: Target Rifle. Sportco M44 Single Shot Bolt Action Rifle 7.62mm Cal. Made in Australia by Omark. 28" heavy stainless barrel with good bore. Has a barrel adapter to take other barrels than Omark. VG match trigger. Custom stock that has a piece cut off and screwed back on. Usual marks to stock with adjustable cheekpiece. No sights or butt plate. S/N DJ122. GWO & C
538: Sporting Rifle. .22 Cal Springfield Model 83 Bolt Action Single Shot Rifle. 23 1/2" barrel with good bore, metalwork refinished. Wood nicely finished to an oiled finish and in GC. Fitted with a 4 x 32 Shin Han scope. Optics good and clear. No visible S/N. G o/a C.

540: Rifle. Whitney-Kennedy Lever Action Sporting Rifle. .44cal. Special order 28" octagonal barrel, bore poor. Full length magazine. Metalwork shows thinning greybrown patina with a few areas of minor pitting. Buckhorn rear sight, silver blade foresight. VG wood with crescent steel butt plate. This a big impressive rifle with the extra long barrel and was only made for 7 years (1879-86) Estimated total production 15000. Rarely offered for sale in NZ. (Vendor's description) S/N J893. Pic
541: Jezail. Flintlock Jezail from the Sind Area. (Pakistan- Afghanistan) 29" round barrel with embossed decorations and flared muzzle. Missing one barrel band. Action strong and engraved with Rampart Lion. Rod missing and hole filled in. Metal dark over all, wood dark with curved stock. Profusely decorated with shell and brass. 542: Jezail. Flintlock Jezail from the Sind Area (Pakistan- Afghanistan). 35" round barrel with flared muzzle and 5 brass barrel bands. Back sight bent. Lock mkd 1817 with Rampart Lion, action strong. Wood dark with curved stock profusely decorated with shell and brass. Steel rod broken and metal has dark patina with a little rust to lock. 546: Military Rifle. .577cal Three Band Snider Mk3 Action Rifle. Lock mkd Crown over VR Enfield 1870. Good Enfield Cartouche. Barrel stamped Steel with usual Military markings. Bore good, overall in GC except missing back sight slide and cleaning rod. A nice 3 band Snider. Pic
547: Snider .577 Cal 2 band short Naval rifle. Action Mark II. Two star lock marked Crown over VR. Tower 1860. 30.5" barrel. Brass furniture, cupped hammer, sling swivel on trigger guard. Metalwork a smooth dark mottled brown. Very good bore with excellent rifling. Woodwork with only minor dings and would describe as excellent. Good clear cartouche on butt. Original clearing rod marked W D (With broad arrow between) An excellent example becoming hard to find in this condition. Pic
548: Military Rifle. 7.35mm Cal Italian M95 Straight Pull Carbine. 18 1/2" barrel with worn bore. Metal with most finish remaining. Wood with a crack to rear of bolt, varnish type finish is well worn. S/N 9740H. F - GC
549: Range Rifle .303 No 4 Mk1* bolt action rifle by Savage Stevens. Bore good, metal with most finish. Sold out of Service marks to breech. Fitted with a Parker Hale 5c aperture sight and Parker Hale foresight protector. Eyepiece is missing from aperture sight. Wood good with butt possibly shortened. S/N 4100201. A nice rifle in GC. Pic
