Metalwork originally nickel plated but now lifting and showing 90% smooth surface rust, Good S&W marked grip panels, crisp action. This pistol comes with its original S&W cardboard box with directions for use plus a letter stating that the revolver was issued to a Mr John McWhirter as a gold buyer on the West Coast, reputed to be personal friend of Gabriel Read, and also on the Westland County Council with Richard John Seddon.
