Wood is dark and inlaid with brass or silver wire. Stock widens to 8" and ends in a decorated ivory butt plate. Ram rod missing and a small area of damage to LH side of forewood. | 1390: | Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Musket. .44WCF Calibre. 25" round barrel with very good bore. Metalwork shows a brown-grey patina with areas of pitting and dings at muzzle. Musket rear sight, foresight has been crudely soldered on. Forewood is good, buttstock rough with 3 screws at wrist. Carbine style buttplate with trapdoor for cleaning rod. Sling swivels fitted. Lever is bent. S/N 227581. These muskets are ultra rare and this more so with bayonet lug for a Sabre Bayonet. Over one million 92's were produced but only around 570 in Musket configuration.
