140: Bayonet. British No 9 Knife Bayonet. Socket for No 4 rifle. Fullered blade with Bowie point. No scabbard. VG + C
141: Sporting Rifle: .222cal Bolt Action. 23" barrel with good bore but could do with a clean. No open sights. Magazine blocked (single shot only), possibly sporterized ex Military rifle rebarrelled. Fitted with a Kowa 2.5 power scope. Woodwork refinished in Monte Carlo style. Checkering to forewood and wrist. S/N 1968. Overall F-GC.
142: Sporting Rifle. .303cal Winchester Mod 95 Lever Action. Bore good (rebarrelled) 21". Metal good (reblued) with some speckling on action and in forewood area of barrel. Lyman aperture sight. Wood has repair to wrist area of stock and shows signs of refinish. Overall FC.
143: Rifle. BSA Sporterised .303 Mark 1. 24 1/2" barrel. Bore poor with damage to chamber, metal with rust speckling and non original sights soldering place. Wood sporterised. Suitable for parts only. S/N 34574 FC.
144: Rifle: .450 cal hexagonal bore. Single barrel. Muzzle loading percussion rifle by Whitworth Rifle Company, Sackville Street, Manchester. 30” round barrel with two leaf sights graduated to 100 and 200 yards plus ‘flip-up’ sight graduated from 300 to 1000 yards. Bore appears good. Lock and Hammer foliate engraved and marked ‘Whitworth Patent’. Safety behind the hammer. Good strong action. Barrel a brown mottled peppery finish with one small pitted area ahead of rear sight. Lock, hammer and trigger guard a light mottled/grey appearance. Checkered walnut stock with minor usage marks. Nicely engraved patch box lid with hound chasing stag. Steel butt plate with foliate engraving. Comes in a very nice mahogany, baize lined case with two piece ebony clearing rod plus 6 ebony handled tools. A Sykes shot flask, Whitworth marked 530 grain casting mould. Dixon powder measure, patch cutter plus brass cap dispenser, projectiles and patches. Trade name inside lid ‘Whitworth Rifle Company, Sackville Street, Manchester. VGWO&C. S/N 262. Pic
145: Sporting Rifle. .222cal Remington Model 600 Bolt Action Rifle. 18" barrel, bore dirty. Metal a non original finish. Trigger guard and magazine remodeled and poor fitting. Safely has been removed. Fitted with a Pecar 4 x 81 scope that has been repainted and has a turret cover missing, optics clear. Wood had been modified to suit Remington action and is in fair condition with two holes drilled to LH side. Fair to overall condition. S/N 66754. Comes with a homemade suppressor being metal and measuring 3" dia x 8: long.
146: Sporting Rifle. .380L Miniature Snider Action Rook Rifle. 24" octagonal barrel mkd W.Richards Liverpool. Lock, breech, trigger guard etc profusely and finely engraved. Wood checkered at wrist and fore end. Action strong and crisp. Butt has a steel butt plate and clean escutcheon plate. Barrel located with wedge through forewood. A nice sporting Snider. Pic
147: Sporting Rifle - Rook rifle Martini Action cal .380 by The Brendlin Armoury Co, London & Birmingham. Barrel 26 inches, bore showing wear with bulge 6 inches from muzzle. Metalwork a nice darken patina, with finish thin on action. Action strong. Woodwork with checkering to forend and grip, stock with a nice quality grain. A nice old gun. Ser # 27370 Pic
148: Sporting Rifle - Rook rifle side lever action by F Rhodes, Scarborough cal .300. Octagonal 26 inch barrel, bore good, action tight, metalwork a nice darken aged patina. Woodwork checkered at forewood and grip with horn forend. A nice example of a Rook Rifle in good condition. Ser # NVR Pic
149: Sporting rifle - Rook rifle with Martini action by A. Francotte, Liege. Cal 297-230. Octagonal 24 1/4 barrel, bore with much rifling, metal possibly reblued sometime ago, checkered fore end and grip, a repaired crack to wrist. Nicely grained stock. Ser # 743 Pic
150: Sporting Rifle - Rook rifle with top lever break action, cal .320 by Charles Lanchaster, New Bond Street, London. Barrel 26 1/2 inches, bore worn, metalwork possibly reblued, action tight with nice engraving. Woodwork with nice grain, checkering to fore end and wrist. Horn forend cap, metal cap to bottom of wrist and escutcheon plate fitted to rear stock. Overall nice looking gun. Ser # 7250 Pic
