201: Shotgun. 12g Double Barrel S X S Percussion Muzzle Loading, no makers name. 29" barrel, bores fair. Mismatched hammers and left hand hammer at fault. Metal a greyish patina, wood in fair condition with many marks and a chip out of lock area. Complete with ramrod. FC
202: Shotgun - Side by Side under lever break action hammer shotgun, 12 gauge by J. Smith, London. Barrels 29 1/2 inches, bores good, metalwork - Damascus pattern to barrels, lovely case harden colours to action area. Action strong. Woodwork good with checkering to forewood and grip and with escutcheon plate on butt. A nice old shot gun in good condition. Ser # NVN
203: Shotgun. 12g Double Barrel Side Lever Hammer Gun by J. Claire Newton. 30" barrels, bore pitted. Metal a dark patina. Action loose, hammers strong. Wood in worn condition but has no cracks, segment missing in forewood. S/N 1358 FC.
204: Shotgun. 16g Rolling Block Single shot by Husqvarna. Bore good, metal a darkish patina with speckling. Action strong, 36" barrel, octagonal at breech for first 10". Wood in good condition with coarse checkering to the grip. Butt has cheek piece and wood with nice grain. Varnish finish has usual marks and a few scratches. S/N 57384 F -G o/a C Pic
205: Badges. Pair of NZ WW1 Medical Corps brass hat (8/158) and collar 8/161) badges. Both marked NZMC. These hat badges were only produced in 1916. Lugs intact, GC

217: Medal - British Lusitania Medal. On May 71915, a German submarine fired a single torpedo sending the Lusitania to the bottom of the ocean with a loss of nearly 1,200 lives. Shortly after the sinking, a German medalist, Karl Goetz, cast a medal chastising the Cunard Shipping Line for allowing passengers on a ship destined for the war zone around Great Britain. Great Britain seized the opportunity to copy the medal and sell it to the general public for propaganda purposes. The medal is VGC and has its original box, which is well worn, but complete and excellent for display. Pic
218: Medal - WWI British War Medal 1914-18, WWI Victory Medal, and Memorial Plaque for “66167 Pte David Henderson.” Medals marked 66167 PTE. D. HENDERSON. N.Z.E.F. Plaque is in original cardboard container and comes with memorial certificate and receipt for Memorial Plaque noting next of kin as Mrs J Henderson of Manunui, King Country. Medals, plaque and papers in very good condition. Noted on the Cenotaph database, Auckland Museum web site as having embarked with 33rd Reinforcements Canterbury Infantry Regiment, C Company. Died of wounds in France 6 November 1918. Noted on Commonwealth War Graves Commission web site as buried at the Caudry British Cemetery, Nord France. Pic

Screw back ribbon bar with brass star with enameling suspended below. Issued primary to those who took part in the Afghan campaign. GC

230: Misc. Electric Daylight Signalling Lamp MkII, 1918 in its original wooden box. Lamp lens good. Has morse key but no battery or carry straps. Made by Arthur Lyon & Wrench Ltd. 6" x 9 1/2" x 9 1/2" with canvas covered top.

236: Sign. Winchester Full Colour Advertising Sign. Approximately 300mm x 200mm. Depicts a game bird on a log. With “Winchester Factory Loaded Shotgun Shells”, “The Kind for Hunting -We Have a Full Stock”. Has two small suspension holes. Good condition
237: Misc. Framed & Glazed B&W photo of HMNZS Royalist. 350 x 300mm. Shows ship in port with sailors on deck. VGC.
238: Sign. Winchester Felt Advertising Sign which would have laid on a gun shop counter top. Approximately 350mm x 250mm. Red felt faded with the words “Ask for Winchester cartridges loaded shells, rifles and shotguns”. Has Winchester address and logo, some mothing. Quite good condition.
239: Pocket Watch/Stopwatch c 1890 – Jeweled movement, face diameter approx 2 inches. Watch face is as a normal pocket/stop watch for era but with additional calibration on outer edge noted as miles per hour. This type of watch was used on railways to covert time into miles travelled. Comes with leather carrying pouch. In GC.
240: Sign. Winchester World Standard Guns and Ammunition full colour advertising sign. Approximately 400mm x 300mm, depicts farmer and horses with a plough, dated 1917, with U.S. flag Winchester Eagle etc. Some minor staining. In a plastic protector. Quite good condition.
241: Two framed and glazed pictures of Boer Commandos measuring 390 x 290mm. One group standing by a large mortar. GC
242: Miscellaneous. Stoning Kit. A Trigger Sear and Hammer Stoning kit. Comes in a steel ammo tin complete with fixture base attachments in their wooden cases. A tin of stones, instructions and a gunsmith's block.

248: WWI Queen Mary brass 1914 Christmas Tin in VGC for age. Pic
249: Soviet Navy Ship Chronometer, Model 6MX in a fitted mahogany case. Made for the Soviet Navy by the Moscow Kirova watch factory (now the Polet factory). The face of the chronometer is 100mm in diameter marked with serial number 9779. Set in gimbals fitted in a mahogany case with brass fittings, complete with key. Case has a top that opens to view the chronometer under the protection of glass. The case measures approx 19 x 19 x19 cm. This is quality timepiece made of solid brass. Good to VGC Pic
