Barrel bore good metal work with original thinning finish with 70% remaining, action is crisp, Woodwork a darkened age colour with numerous starches and dings. Serial number F 33485. Bore very good, metal work with 98% blue finish, action good, possible fault with trigger mechanism. Woodwork very good, complete with leather sling and magazine in VGC. Over all a very good example. Bore very good, metal work with 98% original finish, action good, apart from locking lever which shows normal wear for age. Woodwork very good, fore grip laminated wood type. Action good, bore excellent, body work good metal with 85% finish remaining, matching numbers except butt. Wooden pistol grip and butt in VGC. Has a forward grip that is an aluminum casting. Action good, bore excellent, metal work has a brown patina overall with 70 % original finish, magazine housing painted green. Woodwork with usual dings and in GC for age. Butt has brass plate. Barrel bore fair may clean, action is good, metal work with 95% of finish remaining, fitted with cleaning rod. Woodwork good with a small number of dings and scratches. S/N 4048. | 1158: | Machine Gun - German WWI MG 08/15 machine gun in 7.92 cal. Marked “Gwf Erfurt 1917 . Gun made up of various parts, receiver marked 3246, lock marked 5077, feed block marked 2530. Barrel bore dirty, muzzle cone showing pitting, water jacket has impact dents and has been refinished in an angle design camo pattern, complete with a bi-pod. Action in good working order, pistol grip appears to be a replacement, stock showing normal signs of usage. Receiver has been refinished. Overall a nice looking refurbished gun that would make a good display item. Comes with an accessory bracket for a sight unit that may for the heavier MG08 pattern gun. Serial No 3246/5077A/2530. | 1159: | Machine Gun - Hotchkiss Light Machine Gun in 303 cal marked on left side of receiver “Hotchkiss Portable Machine Gun Mk1 Patented Caliber .303”. Action very good, bore good, metal work 70% original finish, some pitting on right hand side piston cover. Woodwork excellent. Gun in very good working order and is in very good condition for age, complete with firing tripod. This is one of a limited number still believed to be in New Zealand, a rare gun. Serial No Ser E35982. ENDORSED LICENCE REQUIRED The NZAAHAA “The Gazette” magazine of March 2010 featured an article on a Hotchkiss 303 machine gun. Belts come in metal ammo box with leather carrying handles. Box deivided in four section for each belt outside marked “ELLI IKILI MAFSALLI SARJOR KUTUSI ADET 4” (possible Turkish?). One belt loaded with 51 fired Cal 303 rounds. Other 3 belts empty. GC |
